Our program offers teams at multiple levels of development:
National (Cost $850):
Competitive enough to play and win in the largest tournaments in the country. National teams can play and take part in tournaments anywhere in the country, but for this upcoming season, our national teams would compete along the east coast and no further than Tennessee to the west. National level teams get the most exposure to collegiate opportunities. These teams will have a couple of 1 day tournaments early in the season to develop team chemistry, but they will primarily take part in larger 2-3 day tournaments. The regular season begins in October and is completed in March.
Zonal (Cost $750):
Competitive enough to win a majority of 1 day tournaments and to compete (be able to win) against larger programs in the area. Zonal teams will travel in their state, and states that border ours (NC, SC, VA, TN). These athletes will have opportunities to have exposure to collegiate coaches throughout the season. Teams at this level will play a mix of 1 to 3 day tournaments. The regular season begins in October and is completed in March.
Regional (Cost $650):
Regional teams are composed of players who have experience and want to continue to play year round and will be competitive at more localized one day tournaments. Travel for these teams are within 2 hours of our home gym, and players will have limited exposure to collegiate coaches. Regional teams will compete in 1 day tournaments and a single larger 2 day tournament at the end of the season. The regular season is begins in December and is completed in March.
Extended Season ($300 Additional):
Extended season is an opportunity for players who have grown throughout the season to tryout to go to larger tournaments for the extended season. This extension will give players the opportunity to play for longer and continue to go to larger tournaments. The extended season would last through Memorial Day weekend, giving players 2 to 3 additional tournaments along with more intensive training. This extended season will allow players to continue at a zonal-national level.
Developmental Co-Ed Program (ages 12-18):
Developmental teams are composed of new and/or young athletes who have shown potential and wish to receive further instruction and want to develop for future seasons at a more competitive level than YMCA or recreation volleyball. These teams will practice twice a week and take part in many scrimmages in Greensboro, along with competing in two 1 day tournaments in the season. Tournament play is dependent on the number and ages of athletes who are signed up for the development group, but scrimmages will be guaranteed. The regular season begins in January and is completed in March.
Lil Canes: Co-Ed Program ($100-150 a session):
Lil Canes is a developmental program for athletes ages 8-11 who are interested in learning the game of volleyball! These young athletes will take part in one practice a week to help them develop volleyball basics; they will also have opportunities to play games. This season will go from late October-December. If there is enough interest, we will have a spring session for Lil Canes as well!
Ages that we are holding tryouts for 12u-18u.
