Daniel Griffin is a graduate from the Bluefield College Men’s Volleyball team (2014-2016). A rightside/outside hitter, Daniel was played every match the two years he played; he gained experience playing right side hitter, outside hitter, DS, and Libero during the program’s first two years. Daniel was a four year player for the Bluefield College Football program, setting school records. Being a duel sport collegiate athlete gives him a diverse and well-rounded perspective as a coach!
For volleyball, Daniel led the team with the highest serving percentage. At 6’3, Daniel was able to put up strong blocks at the net, but surprisingly, he also spent time as Libero as well. Daniel’s work ethic and leadership skills earned him the respect of his teammates, and he was chosen as captain his senior year.
Since graduating from Bluefield with academic honors for athletics, Daniel has coached for the Greensboro Panthers high-school football program the last 2 years. He also coached middle school baseball for Phoenix Academy. Additionally, Daniel has spent the last two years observing and keeping statistics for Hurricane Volleyball tournaments. Daniel is passionate about financial coaching and working with athletes.
“I’m excited to help take a strong and growing program to the next level! I believe attitude and hard work are the most important aspects of a great team. I’m looking forward to this season!”
